St. Leon-Rot Golf Club has hosted the Deutsche Bank – SAP Open four times and has, thus, made golf history on the international stage. As soon as two years after the club was opened, this traditional tournament took place at St. Leon-Rot. Many members of the golf community consider the events which took place in the context of the Deutsche Bank – SAP Open during the following years to be an integral part of golf history.

Together with our partner, golf club Gut Kaden, and thousands of excited spectators, we experienced memorable moments and witnessed the elite players of international golfing. Even today, golf legends such as Tiger Woods, who won the tournament three times, superstar Lee Westwood and golf pro Colin Montgomerie speak very highly of the unique atmosphere and the great courses at St. Leon-Rot Golf Club.

The list of international top stars whom we had the honour to welcome at our club is too long to be completely cited here; therefore, we would like to thank Tiger Woods, Lee Westwood, Colin Montgomerie, Trevor Immelmann, Padraig Harrington, Ernie Els, Alexander Cejka, Nick Price, Retief Goosen, Bernhard Langer, Mark Pilkington, Michael Campbell, Marc O`Meara as representatives of the entire list and everybody who contributed their passion and skills to the finest hours of golfing we were able to experience. From 2005 to 2007, Gut Kaden continued to host the tournament – then called "Deutsche Bank Players' Championship" – alone.
